ZTE Corporation announced the world’s first HSDPA handset with PTT (push-to-talk) functionality, the F159, at CTIA Wireless 2007.

The ZTE F159 supports popular 3G handset applications including media downloads, mobile TV, GPS and Bluetooth, as well as data sharing and gaming among PTT handset users.

“Following the launch of our MF365 HSUPA data card at 3GSM last month, this announcement keeps up the momentum of ZTE innovation for our customers, ” said Mr He Shiyou, ZTE’s senior vice president. “These achievements clearly demonstrate ZTE’s technological strength and illustrate the fact that ZTE is becoming an increasingly important player in the 3G terminal market.”

ZTE offers a complete series of 3.5G terminals including mobiles, data cards, and USB modems. ZTE’s HSDPA products can be upgraded smoothly to 7.2Mbps, meeting users’ demand for higher downlink rates. ZTE USA is at booth #155 at CTIA Wireless 2007. (more…)
